Audiobooks vs Real Books

I know people have strong opinions on books, audiobooks, and Audible as an app. Even though I usually have strong opinions, I’m actually right in the middle on this one. I never thought I would enjoy audiobooks. As a person with auditory processing disorder, it was hard for me to imagine actually enjoying and being able to process an audiobook. However, I ended up with a free trial and found that audiobooks is the real only way for me to actually learn and read again.

Like many people in today’s digital age, I’m super busy and always on the move. When I say on the move, I mean that literally even though I work from home. That’s because I also have autism, PDD, and ADHD! I actually sit on a big exercise ball when I work, and I usually walk around when I’m talking on the phone or doing videochats. I just think better on the move.

I also have special needs kids, a stepchild in college, and am the main provider for the entire household, which includes my mother-in-law. She can’t work anymore, so I’m the breadwinner. Add to that working full time from home, this blog, keeping myself healthy, and being the supportive parter to a very anxious, paraoid, but adorable man, I literally don’t have time to sit down and read. I guess I could when I’m pooping, but that’s usually the time I spend catching up with the news. LOL!

As long as I have my headphones on, Audible is great. I can’t focus and listen in the car, so that’s out for me. I can only pay attention to one thing at a time, so listening while driving would be very bad in my world!

I see debates online about people regarng audiobooks vs real books. Honestly, I think all kids should read real books, but adults should do what works for them. Have 20 minutes each evening to read? Great! But I like to consume a LOT of information, so I prefer listening to one book at night while sitting next to my partner as he’s passed out in front of the TV. That’s my “alone” time while still being there for my partner, so it works out for me.

Witchcraft Books On Audible

Now, onto my recommendations for the best witchcraft books on Audible for November 2025! !

Additional Notes

I spend a LOT of time listening to Audible. With limited credits for books, though, people don’t waste their time or money on books that are garbage. I truly enjoyed the above books and if there seems to be an interest, maybe I’ll do an in-depth review of each book sometime. 🙂
